Taking a screenshot is quite easy, but it’s come to my attention that not everyone is familiar with how to do this! Sometimes while troubleshooting an issue, you’ll be asked to send a screenshot so both parties and see the same issue/error/image. So how do you do this?
Well, it’s done differently on PC and Mac, but both are easy to do, I promise.
You’ll need to click on the Print Screen (PrtScn) button in the upper right area of your keyboard. This will create a screen capture that you can then paste onto a document.
You’ll want to click command + shift + 3 to create a screen capture of your entire screen, or command + shift + 4 to select a defined area. This will automatically create an image that should appear on your desktop.
I found this great website http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/ that walks you through making a screenshot on Mac, PC, iPad (and other smart devices). It has visual instructions and a how-to video. Everything you ever needed to know about creating a screen capture!
Hope you find it useful!
