What if there's no right or wrong way to run your business?
What if you couldn't get it wrong?
Often we're worried about the right and wrong way to do things because we've subscribed to this idea that there is ONE specific way things can and should unfold. Do A, then B and you'll get C.
But what if there is no right and wrong? What if it’s just a different experience?
Sure, there are things that have worked for people who are doing what you want to do and copying their process is better than having no process at all. Maybe starting from scratch is too daunting and you need guidance. But we have to remember that what worked for them, worked for them under their specific circumstances, with their specific goals and lifestyle. We can get ideas and use "their way" as a starting point, but in the end, what success looks like for them may be very different than what it looks like for you.
There is no right or wrong.
There is just a different experience.
Now, to be clear, I’m not going into any sort of moral compass conversation in stating this. I’m talking to you under the assumption that you are generally good and while you may make mistakes it's never with malicious intent. I’m not talking about the people of the world who like to scam, cheat and steal their way to success.
What I am talking about is really looking back into yourself and getting to the core of what you want to express, how you want to offer it and what you want your life to look like. There are no cookie cutter solutions. I know designers whose branding process takes 2 weeks, I know designers who take 3-6 months. They each cater to their strengths and to what experience they want to provide their clients.
The same is available to you. Are you someone who likes 1:1 coaching programs? Do you prefer group settings where you can connect a larger number of people with each other? Do you like offering weekend workshops that provides a quick win or do you prefer to work with your clients over a span of a few months or a year to get more them in-depth results?
You want a game plan that is catered for your special sauce. One that works with your personality, your offer, your lifestyle and your goals.
Do you have your game plan? What is the one thing that is stopping you from moving forward? Please let me know where you're at.
Until next time, hugs!
